Concept :
Nicola is intrigued by the faces of women and the stories they told. The lines and wrinkles, the glint in their eyes, their smiles, their clothes. All of these allow the viewer to try and understand the character behind the face. These women are women who people pass every without stealing a second glance. They are the "invisibles".

By painting them on canvas, she puts these "ordinary women" into lime light and makes people look through their faces into the souls of these women.
